The DYNATORCH Laser Locator: Making CNC Plasma Cutting More Productive

The Laser Locater accurately projects a clear, bright red crosshair directly under the CNC plasma torch’s cutting tip.  The crosshair appears 6-8 inches long with the torch fully retracted.  No more guessing the torches position over the material.

Waste from mis-positioned re-zero operations are eliminated with our Laser Locator.  Available as either an add on to non-Dynatorch machines with manual on off switch or as a plug in directly to the Dynatorch harness. The advantage is that with the Dynatorch drive system, the laser automatically comes on when jogging and shut off after a user set time.

Easily mounted to your CNC plasma torch in a few seconds and does not interfere with automated operation.

Permanent Scribing and Ink Marking

Dynatorch is proud to introduce our DynaScribe marking system.  Like all Dynatorch products we created DynaScribe to have advanced technology and features above and beyond what you will receive with competitive marking units.

DynaScribe places all forms of lines, lettering and artwork on your metalwork in a clean, clear and indelible fashion. Imagine placing bend lines, bend and second operation instructions or your company logo concurrently with normal CNC plasma and oxy-fuel cutting tasks. DynaScribe is the ideal partner for all automated cutting operations. Additionally, with our ink marker accessory you can convert from permanent scribe marking to black ink marking that is removable should you desire.  The ink marker reservoir has been tested to contain enough ink to create lines well over 1500 feet and it uses a simple inexpensive marker so there is no cleaning and maintenance like expensive systems.

DynaScribe utilizes a pneumatic reciprocating, long lasting carbide tip. Tips are easily and quickly replaced when replacement is needed.  DynaScribe automatically sets proper cutting positions and proper scribing tip pressure.

Marking may be combined with cutting in the same file and does not require the operator to do anything between operations….it’s automatic.  Our nesting software packages can separate marking and cutting by using drawing layers to generate files ready to cut.

Round Tube Cutting Made Easy (for XLR8 systems only)

Dynatorch offers one of the most exciting accessories in the CNC plasma cutting arena.  Imagine being able to cut any pattern into round tubing or pipe. Slots, spiral slots, circles squares, rectangles or any shape you can imagine can be easily cut into a tube up to 14 inches in diameter.

Shapes are only the start: letters, words or numbers are equally possible.  Cutting tube/pipes to specific lengths can be done quickly and accurately.  Tube/pipe ends can be cut to angles or even cut to “fish mouths” to prepare for accurate butt welds. The uses of this accessory in the manufacturing or metal art world are only limited by the imagination.

If ordered with your gantry, we will install the gantry extension as well as longer gear rack and linear bearing rails. We pioneered the overhanging end-of-gantry design and showed it first at the Vegas Fab-tech in 2008 which has been quickly adopted by our competition. This means that you do not have to tear down the plate cutting area to switch to tube cutting and back. Simply jog the torch over the tube (off the table) and select “tube” cutting. The torch height controls and all other options work exactly as before.  On-screen buttons allow swapping at any time.

TUBE CUTTING

The rotator assembly is independent and can be moved out of the way when not needed. A tube chuck allows easy mounting and additional roller supports may be added for special projects.

Additional software to aid in creating cutting files is available.
